General Purpose & Objectives:
To develop this company’s produce capability into a zone core competency and achieve business growth objectives by leading and supporting this company’s produce business throughout Asia-Pacific with a strong focus on China growth.
Major Tasks & Activities:
1. P&L responsibilities for this company China Produce business.
2. Lead all functions including farm rental, growing management, marketing and sales etc.
3. Develop and execute this company China produce business. Grow sales aggressively and achieve profitability.
4. Attract and engage and develop key talents.
5. Further develop and execute this company current produce strategies. Leading key produce projects to secure production bases in various locations in China and ensure timely delivery of these projects.
6. Develop this company produce commercial strategies. Review different produce market segments, identify and execute on market opportunities. Champion of the produce product line internally to the sales team to drive the sales growth of the produce product line. Work with customers closely and lead key product customer projects to ensure successful delivery of produce line volume growth.
7. Contribute to this company China strategies and work with other function leaders closely to execute the overall this company China strategies.
Quality Requirements:
1. 10+ year of work experience with 8+year of relevant experience in the areas of sales, marketing, product line management, and /or business development.
2. Bachelor degree required. MBA strongly preferred.
3. Experience with P&L management of a product line or a business is preferred.
4. Experience with food- agriculture products is required. Experience with agricultural products production through contract farming is strongly preferred. Experience with processed vegetable products such as frozen vegetable is preferred.
5. Strong commercial sense. Understanding of commodity trading and risk management is preferred.
6. Deep understanding of Chinese food markets and Chinese food industries. Understanding of the rest of Asian food markets and food industries is preferred.
7. Strong willingness to learn.
8. Creative in developing new business opportunities.
9. Strong in building customer relationships.
10. Have managed sales team and possess strong people skill.
11. Understand various corporate processes.
12. Aggressive in challenging market, result-oriented, self-motivated and willing to work hard under high pressure
13. Good English both in speaking and writing
