Main Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities
1. Adopt and help create AITS global manufacturing standards that apply to all AITS manufacturing sites to maintain one standard for all sites
2. Adopt “LEAN” methodology and apply to new and existing processes
3. Plan upgrades to existing processes to an acceptable global benchmark industry standard
4. Implement maintain change control system for all ME design and process changes
5. Manage ME department
1) Designs all plant tooling, equipment and processes
2) Develop and implement manufacture process procedures work flow that are accepted by production
6. Manage suppliers of new and existing equipment tooling jigs and fixtures special tools to meet the design standards
7. Maintain effective control of direct reports ensuring projects are completed on time within budget project planning
8. Responsible for CAPEX quotes for new projects
9. Promote systemic effective problem resolution and ensure corrective and preventive action are implemented for all process equipment related issues
10. Daily manage ME department to be effective for FTQ / Scrap reduction
11. Manufacture layouts to manage control release and implementation thereof
12. Manufacture standard times measure document all processes quantifying manning requirements for production to define Operation Standard Times
13. Manage continuous improvement of constraint operations to improve throughput
14. Manage introduction of new processes, equipment and any changes
15. Manage KAIZEN ME projects success
16. Manage control release change system for PFMEA / PCP / PFC / SOP / Layout
17. Ensure department is affective in Daily Routine Management to ensure all processes start and finish correctly with zero process downtime
18. Employee appraisal and development – provide time management coaching, counselling, and feedback to employees through one-on-one sessions, team meetings.
19. Set KPI for ME department and hold key members accountable to achieve
20. Promote new manufacture techniques to adopt and seek approval to implement planning and resource management for ME department
21. Adhere to all plant policies and procedures as outlined in the AISH desktop procedures, employee handbook and the Employee Norms
22. Perform other duties as required
Requirements:

1. Engineering background, above 8 years of ME work experience for module/system level Tier 1 supplier in auto industry.
2. Familiar with error proofing, plc and EOLT technology. Experience of Nok-lock brazing will be a plus.
3. First -hand experience of Lean – manufacturing.
4. Strong problem resolution skills.
5. Hands-on approach.
6. Aggressive in achieving bottom line results.
7. Matured, capable of working under pressure and team spirits.
8. Opportunity open for promotion to ME director in a year.
