Job Responsibility:

1. Responsible for special projects development. Accountable from start to completion of project goals, objectives and budgets to develop new and improved products. Responsible for achieving target costs for all components.

2. Maintain a climate of urgency, build organizational momentum, and mobilize teams to implement changes to achieve objectives.

3. Lead the integration of team projects across all disciplines, ensuring implementation.

4. Coordinate and communicate with material suppliers on new materials or processes applicable to new products.

5. Advise the best solution of supply chain according to customer project schedule.

6. Visit customer to understand the project schedule, progress and keep the team member updated.

7. Understand the competition status and work with sales, PLMs and pricing manager to generate price proposal to win/increase market share.

8. Align internal functions and outside suppliers to ensure that support for Master timing, test and validation plans, prototype needs and budgetary constraints are agreed and met. Holds stage gate reviews per master time plan.

9. Serve as prime point of contact for customer interface and status on new products being developed for alternative markets.

10. Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, sales/marketing and other divisional, group and corporate personnel to resolve technical matters dealing with projects.

11. Leads the PROJECT TEAM to achieve its chartered purpose and desired outcomes.

12. Creates and tracks the Master Gantt for different programs; ensures all deliverables and milestones are met per customer request.

13. Creates and tracks the Open Issues List for the entire program; Hold weekly and Bi-weekly meetings as necessary.

14. Creates, establishes and ensures that the System and Component validation test plans are met and that the end product meets or exceeds customer expectations as outlined in customer value proposition.

15. Encourages participation, ensures that all concerned are appropriately involved, creates a stable working environment; clarifies the decision-making process and tracks action items to closure.

16. Ensures the project team is trained as required.

17. Plans and tracks the PROJECT TEAM effort; achieves BETA milestones.

18. Identify new automotive product and market opportunities through various avenues such as outside consultants, trade shows and customer visits and industry surveys.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree (BS) in mechanical, electrical or related technical discipline.

2. 5-7 years experience in project management in Automotive Industry.

3. Previous experience with new product launches and new product commercialization.

4. Experience with APQP and auto program launch.

5. Knowledge in manufacturing process and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.

6. Project facilitator experience, proficient in presentation skills in a formal business setting.

7. Proficient in analyzing and breaking down data to drive decision making.

8. Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

9. Superior follow-up and organizational skills.

10. Finance acumen.

11. Negotiation Skills.
