Reporting to: Director Quality Manager – China EPO

Location: Foshan, China

Purpose:Plan and coordinate the daily laboratory operation for most effective and efficient use of all resources. Supervise lab technicians and also perform quality assurance testing to validate compliance with specification and therefore confirm positive release of suppliers products to SAC.

Scope: Foshan laboratory and lab technicians, laboratory consumable suppliers and supplies, communications with outsourcing suppliers including providing test reports, perform and assist lab technicians to perform quality assurance or analytical testing to defined standards, supervise 3 – 5 technicians.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES：
?In conjunction with the Quality Manager, develop and implement housekeeping and safe working practices to comply with Chinese regulation and SAC policies. Ensure adherence to these practices and provide recommendations for improvement. Survey, monitor and address all lab hazards.
?Assist Quality Manager to develop and review laboratory operating procedures.
?Update and maintain laboratory records. This includes product specifications, product test programmes, test methods, procedures, equipment calibration, test results and reports and all other lab records
?Source and maintain laboratory consumables to budget
?Assign testing and other tasks to lab technicians to ensure most effective and efficient use of test equipment and labour
?Ensure all quality assurance tests, and analytical testing for NPI’s, are performed to defined standards
?Provide training and assistance to lab technicians as required
?Perform quality assurance or analytical testing as required
?Review results, and coordinate quality assurance test reporting to outsource suppliers
?Perform any other task as requested by the Quality Manager

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Mandatory:
?A minimum of 2 years experience performing testing and reporting in a laboratory

Desirable:
?Experience as a laboratory Supervisor
?Tertiary qualification in a science discipline.
?High level working knowledge of ASTM and GB standards
?Food packaging quality assurance and/or analytical testing experience
?Familiar with quality management systems such as ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP.

SKILLS
?Above average Microsoft Office suite of applications. Particularly Excel, Word and Power Point.
?Strong data analysis skills.
?Strong report writing skills.
?Fluent in English and Mandarin – both written, listening and oral.
