SUMMARY:
Under limited supervision by Mechanical Design Leader or Manager, individual will involve in the development of new/ refresh model of mobile phone or other consumer products. He/ she will be required to act as development interface and support the internal and other manufacturing partners. In addition, individual will need to interact with customers, suppliers, and other internal functional team members to accomplish these tasks.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
q Min 5 or 7 year design experience in Mobile phone industry
q - Able to work under minimum supervision to design and develop new mechanical products (from ID to mass production)
q - Able to coach and guide engineers
q - Familiar with mobile phone process and development process, and testing requirement
q - Able to identify, perform root-cause analysis, and trouble-shoot trial build, testing issues independently.
q - Proficient skill in 3D modeling software (Pro-E or Uni-Graphic
q - Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills
q - Good command of English (written and verbal)
q Station in Tianjin and must be able to work under high pressure and in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
q Assists design leader or manager in the design and development of mobile phone or other consumer products.
q Interacts with the customers, suppliers, and other internal functional team to support trial build and trouble-shoot build related issues.
q Assists Business Units in providing technical suggestions, especially during the quotation stage for new project.
q Participate in early supplier involvement (ESI) and highlight related design/ manufacturing risk to assure the manufacturability and quality of the product.
q Follow all Corporate Occupational Safety and Health Policies and Procedures.
q Comply with company’s security policy.
q Assigned other duties by immediate supervisor.
