Position Description:
1.Construct and create costed bills of materials from Smartphone motherboards;
2.Identify cost reduction opportunities on Smartphone motherboards that will yield cost savings for current and future Lenovo products;
3.Maintain and update the motherboard component cost within TEC database;
4.Spec and cost survey for new components and technologies
Position Requirements:
1. Knowledge of smartphone motherboards, assembly and their components;
2. Knowledge of RF circuit, BP/AP, power management, I/O interfaces. Ability to read schematics and component datasheets;
3. Ability to identify cost avoidance and cost reduction opportunities through design for cost changes and supplier negotiations;
4. Documenting results of cost avoidance and cost reductions achieved;
5. Strong team player – both internal and with cross-functional teams including Development, Procurement and Cost Managers;
6. English communication skills;
7. Experience of cost estimate preferred
