Core Accountabilities:
Process & Operations Management
? Work with assigned Factory leadership to ensure that all Factory operational processes are effective, efficient, and aligned with Converse standards/expectations
? Manage process to ensure visibility and control of Factory performance across the functions of Product & Chemical Engineering, Quality, Sustainable Manufacturing, and Planning
? Lead and Support the use (by Converse and Factory teams alike) of PDCA problem solving and Strategy Deployment tools to identify, understand, and resolve key Product and Process issues/opportunities
Team Management/Leadership
? Represent Converse Manufacturing Needs as Senior most Brand representative working at Factory
? Provide Leadership and coaching to Converse teams from all functions operating at your assigned factory location. Ensure the effectiveness of functional teams (Product/Chemical Engineering, Product Integrity, Planning, Lean/Sustainable Manufacturing) as they work to Commercialize and Support Manufacturing and ensure timely start up and delivery with Quality and Compliance
? Manage, Develop, and Coach Converse team to ensure strong team performance and create future leaders for Converse
Communication and Influencing
? Maintain strong, frequent communication with Converse Functional Leadership and General Management.
? Participate in Converse Manufacturing Strategic Planning and maintain strong awareness of Converse Technical Services Key Initiatives
? Stay connected and aware of key products and initiatives for the Category Product teams who’s product is made at your assigned factories
Strategic Supplier Development & Planning
? Engage and Support the development and progress of long term plans by Factory Leadership to balance and maximize the following:
Quality + Delivery + Sustainable Manufacturing + Profitability
? Develop plans with Factory to drive focused factory performance improvement and implement key Converse initiatives at Factory
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in product creation and/or overseas product manufacturing.
- Strong footwear manufacturing and product knowledge and experience managing Supplier Factories within a Global Branded Footwear company
- Demonstrates an ability to communicate clear, timely and effective direction, both orally and in writing. Is able to appropriately direct, influence and persuade people across cultures both with and without direct authority. Communicates and influences well at all levels in the organization. Is able to plan, organize and conduct efficient and effective meetings. Applies training, education, motivational coaching and mentoring skills. Effective win-win negotiation skills.
- Able to anticipate and creatively solve complex problems. Is able to contribute to, translate and partner in implementing strategic initiatives. Innovates through process and people. Performs and manages others well under tight deadlines. Detail oriented with the ability to see the big picture. Self Assure, and able to work independently with professional integrity. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Team Leadership. Able to involve and direct others when appropriate. Understand the value of team and can lead through influence and direction.
- Process Management Skills: Understands and is able to manage production processes. Able to prioritize and adjust to changes quickly. Flexible, logical and practical. Works successfully under tight deadlines.
