职位描述

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

  • Work in collaboration with the Brand and imbibe the Brand values.
  • Be the link between French team and Chinese team to smoothen Brand business
  • Establish a reactive, pro-active, clear and transparent communication channel.
  • Be responsible for meeting business objectives and KPIs through developing, supporting and executing sourcing strategies.
  • Lead a team of merchandisers to complete tasks with calendar management.
  • Manage, drive and escalate upwards on quality and delivery issues resolution bringing clear solutions.
  • Drive via negotiation that ‘best’ terms (including costing and margin etc) are achieved for Brands
  • Be a market intelligent, keep abreast of changes, and share relevant information to Brand and Management within its geographinque territory.
  • Provide training and development to team members on merchandising related activities.
  • Oversee all aspects of Production Cycle, able to manage complexity.
  • To develop and recommend appropriate merchandising processes and procedures, and to ensure that all products are developed/sourced in a socially compliant environment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Strategies

· Work with the Brand and EBO Director in formulating strategic direction of the Company, including developing and implementing long term plans and strategies that are in alignment with Band and Group values/culture

· Lead team of merchandisers to ensure prompt development of samples and provide input from product development and production perspectives

· Oversee all aspects of Production cycle, ensurecalendar planned is adhered to, including production follow up, vendor performance, product quality and on time delivery

· Monitor and control vendors’ performance, and develop vendor strategies


· Ensure effective communication among team members, cross functional departments& other business units in the company


· Evaluate and identify business opportunities


· Source, analyses and train suppliers to meet the demands and in compliance with the business requirements. Secure the capacity for Brand needs.


· Ensure the company policy, procedures and working process(s) are communicated in a timely manner and in compliance

Planning

· Plan ahead to ensure sufficient resources for achieving on time delivery


· Coordinates with all counterparts to achieve objectives, driving the business through strategic planning


· Drive pre-production meeting with Quality team and highlight ways of improving working process

Compliance

· Provide good representation of the Company Policy, Codes of Practice and General Delivery Instructions to both internal and external contacts

Development and Execution

· Ensure that all team members are aligned with Group Sourcing strategy, and follow up closely with the Brands in order to secure the alignment of all concerned parties


· Provide Merchandising team with clear direction and keep the group focused on the task. Motivate, coach and empowers team members. Bring together co-workers for effective teamwork and be a good team player. Give coaching to team members, to work well with multiple teams and departments. To ensure the team members are constantly polite and well mannered when dealing with our suppliers or counterparts


· Handle conflict among team members and other departments


· Work with Quality Department to establish the ‘one way’ of working between Merchandise and Quality Team


· Ensure data accuracy by follow up closely with team members.


Training & Development of Team Members

· Build up a strong team to meet business needs and manage team performance

· Develop, manage and lead the Merchandise team, solely responsible for the performance of the team


· Motivate and develop staff in order to encourage their professional development


· Manage and motivate the Merchandise team in achieving company’s objectives


· Identify skill gaps for individual staff and recommend training and development opportunities


· Provide comprehensive induction training to new members

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

· At least 12 years garment merchandising experience, of which minimum 7 years in the management position

· Higher diploma or Degree in Business, Textiles or related field preferred

· With MNC Buying Office experience preferred

· Excellent communication skills and good command of spoken and written French or English and Local Language.
