Role Summary/Purpose

This commodity leader is responsible for Electrical Mechanical Devices commodities (EMD) in China and Rest of Asia (ROA excluding India) and lead sourcing activities supporting Energy Management businesses. Working closely with EM COEs, business GCLs and regional P&L teams, take the lead on EMD to form and execute sourcing strategies in the region and deliver sourcing operating target for EM business.

Essential Responsibilities

-Develop suppliers to grow China/ROA buy for the EMD commodities; rationalize supplier base to improve sourcing efficiency and develop synergies and cost saving opportunities
-Work with COE/GCL/P&L sourcing to execute RFQ packages, identify and select the best supplier to achieve best-cost competitiveness and business benefits.
-Own supplier negotiation in the region on pricing, payment term, supply agreement and GE terms & conditions to achieve business objectives
-Work closely with COE/GCL/P&L sourcing to drive cost out and achieve deflation target for EMD commodity; Support DMP projects to improve productivity
-Manage supplier fulfillment and improve on-time-lead delivery; support supply chain team to meet customer requirements
-Own supplier management, support SQE and business teams to ensure excellent supplier quality and services required by businesses

Qualifications/Requirements

-BS degree or above in Electrical-Mechanical / Business Management or other related discipline
-Min 5years experience in sourcing role; preferably in Electrical, mechanical or Electronics commodities. Have some years of manufacturing experience will be an advantage.
-Demonstrate proficiency in supplier identification and development, ability to negotiate and manage supplier using good sourcing tools and processes.
-Proactive and positive self-starter with energy, enthusiasm and ability to execute
-Ability to adapt, open to change and thrive on finding better, more effective solutions & process
-Have project management experience
-Good verbal and written communication skills; Team work spirit.
-Ability to present and communicate ideas / strategy / updates / results through local team and global team
-Experience in using Microsoft Suite (i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and web based tools
-Travel is required
