Role Summary/Purpose

The General Ledger Accountant provides direction and assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

Essential Responsibilities

• Ensure all the transactions are recorded in a timely basis for assigned area of responsibility
• Prepare journal entries and proper supporting
• Ensure compliance with local/US GAAP
• Prepare account reconciliations in line with GE’s criteria
• Process DT/DF transactions in IBS/DIRT platform, and reconcile DT/DF with related counter parties periodically
• Perform monthly sales and cost of goods sales reconciliation and margin analysis
• Collaborate with tax specialist to ensure timely invoicing and accurate VAT accounting
• Support FP&A for DR reports
• Provide internal and external audit supports and explanations
• Cooperate with corporate and business functions for process improvements and simplification initiatives
• Perform other related duties as assigned or indicated by responsibilities

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor degree in accounting or related discipline
• Minimum 2 years work experience in accounting
• Knowledgeable of accounting systems; Oracle is an advantage
• Ability to plan, manage and prioritize multiple tasks; able to work under pressure
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Fluent English including both written and oral
• Strong computer skills in Excel, E-mail, and Word

Desired Characteristics

• Working experience in MNC or auditing firm; CPA is an advantage
• Strong understanding of internal controls and controllership, including Sarbanes Oxley concepts
