Position Summary:
To develop and implement processes for the engineering of Connector. Will work closely with product manager to ensure proper products application in marketing, R&D is the major responsible for the individual. Meanwhile he is the leader to ensure manufacturing process capability, cost saving, efficiency and overall productivity goals are met.

Scope/Supervision and Interaction:
1. This position will be responsible for the overall production support and engineering team, interact internally with all related departments. This position mentors entry-level Manufacturing Engineers.

2. Must have ability to deal with people at a cross-functional level. Position requires ability to effectively communicate in oral and written English in order to present information and respond to inquiries from employees, customers, and suppliers.

Essential Functions:
1. Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering and manufacturing production problems
2. Through identification and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes including conducting process analysis, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, tooling, and materials, conferring with suppliers, and soliciting observations from the operators/production technicians.
3. Refine and enhance processes by applying continuous improvement and key Lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques to areas of production. Recommend product changes/improvements to Product Engineers.
4. Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout. Coordinate input that may cross multiple teams or areas; make recommendations, and implement changes.
5. Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished product and process capabilities, and establishing standards to confirm and validate manufacturing process requirements. Determine root cause of failure using statistical methods (e.g., design of experiment, SPC, 6sigma) that may result in changes in design, tolerances, or processing methods.
6. Evaluate capital equipment investments and prepare cost justifications. Design and prepare concept drawings of new equipment or modifications to existing equipment. Manage the overall implementations of capital equipment projects.
7. Develop tooling and fixtures for new products and processes and work with tooling vendors to supply such designs.
8. Identify and implement solutions for issues relating to safety, quality, productivity, and cost reductions.
9. Prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes and engineering procedures. Prepare reports summarizing analyzed process information and trends.
10. Share specialized knowledge with others. Represent Company on specific projects, lead and participate on project teams.


Qualifications:

1. College’s Degree in related Engineering or rubber technology field and 7-10 years of related experience required.
2. Fluent in written and spoken English
3. Good math skills and familiarity with personal computer and CAD software required, good machining back ground.
4. Must possess strong mechanical aptitude, ability to use basic measuring tools, and hands-on capabilities to work on projects without supervision.
5. Prefer Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, project management, FMEAs, and quality systems experience. Familiarity with APQP PPAP
6. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes preferred.
