Position Description:
The Brand Marketing Director is a key strategic leadership role within the Lenovo Marketing organization and will be the Lenovo brand champion across the entire Lenovo Business Group. This leader will drive overall long-term Lenovo brand strategy & vision, advance brand equity and identify new opportunities to maximize long term business performance. This position will work closely with the Geo & worldwide Marketing teams, BU teams, and Lenovo Business Group functional teams to deliver against key long-term priorities that align to brand vision. .
This Director will lead the strategic development and execution of key PC+ brand marketing for lines of business that are the primary growth opportunities for the brand. He/she is responsible for providing thought leadership and developing market insights to ensure the strategies and plans are highly resonant with consumers. This role will partner with external agencies to set communication strategies and develop advertising platforms that maximize business results。

Key Responsibilities
Develop and define the Lenovo brand strategy, brand positioning and multi-year strategic brand plan.
Lead brand equity framework and brand architecture development and disseminate to organization.
Develop marketing programs which build and expand the reach and relevance on the brand.
Implement brand-building programs tailored to target consumers.
Foster consumer interactions that constantly reinforce the business objectives.
Uncover deep consumer and business insights through market research and business analysis and translate into opportunities for innovation.
Identify, quantify and prioritize growth opportunities for the brand in order to deliver financial objectives for sustainable growth.
Track in depth the consumers’ perception towards the brand position, personality and imagery for the Lenovo and our competitors.
Monitor competitors’ activities and defend against competitive initiatives.
Actively engage in assisting long term vision and budget planning.
Lead external agencies to think strategically and focus on developing innovative and effective integrated marketing strategies that link to the brand proposition and fully capitalizes on the knowledge of consumer insights.
Work collaboratively with internal/external brand stakeholders to drive brand programs. Manage the integration of activities across key internal & external cross-functional groups and partners.
Apply analytical rigor as well as a constant state of business curiosity
Leads development of the brand marketing organization and player-coaching of brand marketing team members

Position Requirements:
BS/BA in Marketing or Business related field is required and MBA is preferred.
A minimum of 10 years of progressive consumer marketing experience is required. Specific global brand management experience is preferred.
Track record leading cross-functional teams as well as working in a matrixed environment.
Experience leading people, working with senior level management and managing external agencies is required. Must possess a strong ability to influence without direct authority.
Experience in a world-wide team environment required.
Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully, both oral and written.
Must have strong balance of quantitative/analytical and creative skills.
Experience developing business plans along with the ability to analyze key market dynamics and develop strategic and tactical plans is required.
A track record of new product innovation is a bonus.
This position requires approximately 10-20% domestic and international travel.
