Summary:
This position primarily supports the footwear BUs (Business Units) for the testing related technical coordination to PDs, material, and production to ensure effective materials / shoes testing and product quality assurance and control; build up an effective system to store the test data collected from factories for quality analysis, guidance for new innovative materials and tracking for production testing.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1) Work closely with BUs teams for new materials and new construction products testing, provide the testing technical support to them during development and production stages.
2) Work with IT and factories to build up the test database for development and production samples, provide the test data analysis to stakeholders.
3) Coordinate with DCs, QA/QC teams on the quality claim/complaint from consumers/distributors for the physical property testing and analysis; initiate the quality continuous improvement projects related to lab testing with QA, production, development and material team.
4) Plan and organize the program of factory lab training and certifying every year to ensure the factory labs understand Deckers lab requirement and documents. Communicate and assist with the factory management to form a strong testing team for Deckers materials/products.
5) Take care of Deckers certified material supplier labs, make sure they conduct the correct testing, and continuously improve their performance; conduct the correlation test among the Tier 1 and Tier 2 labs.
Qualifications:
- Have minimum 8 years’ work experience in footwear laboratories.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral, both in Chinese and English language.
- Ability to communicate professionally with all level of people in the factories and material suppliers.
- Have good leadership ability.
- Ability to work independently.
- Can be able to work under pressure.
