Essential duties and responsibilities:
Regularly conducts materials, process, and quality audits in production workshops to ensure that appropriate processes, QC tollgates and process controls are properly implemented and that critical quality issues are immediately addressed .
Checks and confirms production material and color swatches to ensure compliance to production specs and confirmation samples.
Performs and is responsible for the final QC inspection on finished footwears to ensure the quality and integrity of PO's that are released for shipments in accordance with Deckers' final inspection guidelines and AQL.
Monitors production order status of his assigned factories vs factory committed ex-factory dates and reports any potential delays to Deckers' production manager.
Monitors material suppliers' and footwear factories' compliance to established 'material physical property' requirements as well as 'restricted substances' guidelines. Reports to his immediate superior any critical quality issues that cannot be resolved on his level.
Helps monitor and push factory compliance to Deckers's ESC guidelines and reports any major violation to his immediate superior.
Monitors progress of factory a continuous improvement (CI) program that are agreed by Deckers' production manager or higher superiors and helps push for compliance.
Prepares regular reports as required by his superiors.
Do other special projects and tasks as may be assigned by his superiors.
Education/Experience:
Minimum 2 years working experience in a reputable footwear company in either production, commercialization, development, or quality control.
Basic knowlegede of footwear manufacturing processes.
Good verbal and written English communication skill.
Computer literate
At least 2 years college education or footwear technical school graduate.
