Position Description:
Position
Staff Creative Strategy Researcher (IDC Design Strategy Team) based in Beijing.

Responsibility:
1 Innovation design & design research:
Research & Analysis, observation, data assessment, insight generation
Web research & data mining (collection of solid data through various resources)
Use and creation of specific tools and methods to illustrate data assessment and direction setting
Deep insight on design, IT & related industry trends, understand on wide-ranging technical, creative and business understanding.
Able to transfer the insights to design/innovation opportunities
Experienced on research methodology and approach
Close communication with internal departments
2 Design Strategy
Join and support design strategy discussion and making
Create insight-driven strategic thought models
Build strong awareness with various teams
Support high level design strategy meetings preparation and follow ups
Build/support consistent and efficient design management structure
Develop specific planning tools to demonstrate short, mid and long term goals
3Design Strategy Communication
Well communicate and align design strategy with relevant functional teams, such as design, BUs, Retail, branding etc., helping them to understand & top-down execution strategy
Participate or facilitate strategic workshops with various stakeholders

Position Requirements:
Specific skills
Master degree in design management, industrial/product or other relevant design or marketing area.
4+ years’ experience on design research, design plan or design management. Familiar with design process and deep involved in strategic design projects.
Broad interest in connecting business targets, user-centric innovation and design opportunities
Strong awareness of socio-cultural, technology and design trends, build knowledge independently.
Language skills: fluency in spoken and written English
Software skill: Office, Photoshop, illustrator, etc.
Personality: Passionate, curious, pro-active, Positive attitude, diligent, flexible, cope with high pressure, working with tight deadlines, multitasking, good communication skills with different functional teams, interested in design, culture and our industry in general.
