Position Description:
Position: Senior manager or director of strategic investment & LeFund, Lenovo Research & Technology
Report to: GM, Head of Strategic technology alliance & external innovation, Lenovo, DR to Lenovo CTO

Job Profile and Responsibility :
Based in Beijing, the senior manager will be a key member of department, who is responsible for:

1. Plan, operate and manage innovation acquision , Strategic investment, LeFund investment: acquire or invest external innovative technology company for TMT area, PC eco-system, Software mobile internet and digital home areas, internet service
2. Build up and manage global VC society alliance and relationships
3. Source investment candidate
4. Deal closer: Candidate needs to understand Lenovo’s business in sufficient detail and will work closely with the GM to align decisions with external company’s investment short term and long-term strategic investment goals.
5. Manage post merge/investment to introduce technology to Lenovo product portfolio

Position Requirements:
Qualifications:
1. have MS or PHD degree study experience in United States, PHD or MS in computer or engineering discipline (PhD preferred)
2. better to have on the ground experience in the same position or Have technology strategist planning , strategic alliance, BD or consulting working experience, have a proven track record of leading similarly-scoped alliance or BD team in a multinational company before
3. Strong strategy insight of IT industry in computer, mobile internet , internet service or digital home areas.
4. strong leadership and project management ability to work cross-functionally with multiple global teams.
5. strong hi-tech. and start ups relationship and network in China or US, Silicon Valley. Or Japan.
6. External technology & business intelligence: strong technology intelligence of emerging new knowledge, and insights to the R&T leadership team. Research and track industry trends; advise executive management on key new opportunities and developments that may affect long-term strategies.
7. Strong close deal capability: good personal character of influential others and good at communication to get deal close and set up win-win cooperation models
8. Proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese in professional settings.
9. On-the-ground work experience in both China and North America / Western Europe.
