Key Responsibilities:
(i) Tax Consultancy
- Ensure no major tax risks in business and secure all tax benefits
- Provide regular update to business team of relevant changes in tax regulations and impact
- Provide tax training for business team
- Provide tax consultancy to business team
- Perform monthly tax position and analysis report.
- Providing weekly update on tax irregularities, tax exposures, tax issues and tax practice change
(ii) Tax Compliance
- Review daily operation to ensure tax compliance in accordance with local tax law and business requirements
- Review CIT, IIT, indirect tax (e.g. VAT, business tax, etc) and other local taxes returns & filing package to ensure the compliance with the local tax law and the timely tax reporting.
- Review Deferred Tax reporting, tax proof & check file
- Preparation of internal tax reporting
- Review tax-related accounting
- Review the withholding tax filing and clearance of non-trade overseas payments
- Forecast the business impact due to the change of tax regulation and law
- Support in compliance with Transfer Pricing Documentation requirement
- Assist business team to identify and analysis intercompany transactions, review transfer pricing policies and ensure that the method and documentation are in compliance with local laws.
- Assist in Tax Self-assess and Tax Audit.
- Assist in the negotiation process of tax incentives, preferential tax status and financial subsidy
- provide advice to business team and M&A team on tax structuring , tax consideration in assets / equity transfer and tax simulation support in expansion / divestment / reorganization projects.
(iii) Communication & Relationship Management
- Taking the leading role in coordination with tax team and local tax bureau on tax filing
- Liaison with in-charge Tax Bureau for daily tax matters.
- Tax Bureau relationship development and management.
- Working with local tax teams & external tax advisor on Tax Self-assessment/Tax Audit
- Tax service provider relationship management
Job Requirement:
- Familiar with China tax laws and double taxation treaties
-Strong China tax practices and familiar with cross border tax planning techniques.
- have good business understanding in tax and customs laws, government tax policies, taxation procedures, government economic policies and programs.
- Strong analysis skill and logic thinking
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, result oriented, team player and able to work under high pressure
- Above Bachelor Degree in Tax/Accounting / Finance and Certified Tax Agent.
- Strong English and computer skill
- At least 3 years related working experience in tax firms or Multi-National Company in retail industry.
