Role Summary/Purpose
Essential Responsibilities
•Implement lean strategy to reduce inventory, lead-time, and waste. •Drive lean plan execution by leading and planning Action Work Outs (AWOs), developing pull systems, training personnel, and other activities to achieve world-class process flow. •Develop value stream maps for the organization and eliminate process waste through implementation of lean techniques. •Provide training and leadership to all salaried manufacturing/operations employees to drive Lean in their roles. •Lead facility team members, foster their professional development and growth, and promote teamwork and cooperation to insure facility related issues are addressed and communicated in a timely manner. •Provide hands-on expertise and broad problem solving in the areas of facility planning, building services, shipping/receiving, and coordination of space utilization. •Communicate progress, status and issues to the business leaders. •Seek, share and institutionalize best practices.
Qualifications/Requirements
•Bachelor of Industrial Engineering Degree or Systems Engineering Degree with 5-8 years in high speed, mixed model, lean manufacturing assembly operations. •Understands Lean toolset with proven results. Lean Leader or Black Belt preferred. •Vision and courage to pursue big ideas, encourage smart experimentation. •Strong analytical/problem solving skills. •Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills. •Demonstrated ability to independently develop, manage and implement aggressive project plans. •Proven ability to communicate complex matters in a simple, understandable format. •Ability to build and promote organizational change management initiatives-valuing relationships, building idea/problem-solving culture.
