The Regional Sales Director (RSD) is responsible to optimize the performance of the assigned shops in his/her territory.
The RSD is responsible to ensure Beaumanoir China’s target customer will feel good shopping in our shops. This must be ensured by implementing and embedding our Customer Value Proposition in shops, through stock management, product presentation, providing a pleasant shopping experience and customer service.
Reporting Lines
? The RSD will report to CEO
? The RSD is directly responsible for shops (and shop managers)
? The RSD will have Branch Manager (BM), Partner Manager (PM), Shop Manager (SM) reporting to him
? She/He has to establish strong and effective working relations with relevant HQ departments
Mission
Under the responsibility of CEO, the Regional Sales Director’s mission is to develop a strong regional strategy in order to reach the Company’s targets in terms of Turnover and Profitability, through:
- Sales Management,
- Shop and Team management
- Operational excellence in terms of
o Visual merchandising
o Stock management
o Customer service
- Brand Image,
- Budget and P&L control and management
Operational excellence (valid for branch and partner shops):
? Overall responsible for business operations and financial results in the assigned territory
? Develop, coach, and optimize outputs of the human resources in the assigned territory
? Control that the processes of the Sales department are followed by the team, review and improve, if it is necessary, these processes in order to increase the efficiency and productivity of the team on an on-going basis
? Ensure Beaumanoir’s customers are served well in a pleasant shopping environment which keeps up to the best practices of customer service
? Cooperate with the various partners of the region he/she is in charge of in order to promote a good brand image
? Ensures operational standards in all branch and partner shops are reaching the highest levels according to company guidelines and strategy, including shopping floor, back staff rooms, stockrooms, cash desks and entrances/exits.
? Support sufficient stock replenishments with stock density in alignment with shop sales target, actual sales performance and shop equipment capacities
? Ensure effective and pro-active communication with the organization up and down. The Regional Sales Director will possess a strong ability to identify upcoming problems and an even stronger ability to grasp opportunities that can drive commercial business performance.
? Ensure the implementation of the audit requirements covering branch and partner shop operations (cash, stock management, people related)
? Ensure shrinkage and stock loss measures are implemented and enforced in all branch shops, strive for continuous improvements in overall shrinkage.
Budget and P&L control and management:
? The Regional Sales Director is also responsible for reaching the profitability targets of the shops in her/his region
? This implies the respect of the achievement of the Sales target and cost management
? The Regional Sales Director need ensure partner payments in time and help to get branch invoices from landlord.
Visual Merchandising
? Ensure company VM guidelines are implemented strictly
? Ensure a convenient and pleasant shopping environment is created where every (visual) aspect is up to standard
? Work closely with the VM organization in the region to ensure shop compliance
? Give timely feedback on positive and negative elements to the Central VM organization
Team Management
? Ensure good quality shop managers and shop teams (through selection, training, coaching, behavior adjustment) and work closely with the Human Resources functions
? Develop and build team (and talent) pipeline to ensure the company expansion plans and improve the capabilities in the shops
? Lead and coach the Sales team so that it can reach high level of performances, especially in terms of customer service
? Set clear objectives to the team members and ensure that all of them complete their tasks as required
? Communicate and give accurate directions to the team in order to let them know about the decisions taken
? Actively manage team productivity and shifting
Business Development
? She/He cooperates with the Regional development manager to ensure smooth and healthy network expansion
? Supporting role in Business Development; building relations with partners and operations teams of shopping malls, department stores and hypermarkets
? Supporting in identifying and assessment of new locations and projects
? Responsible for the opening of new shops (as assigned by CEO), including all preparations related to later operations, such as recruitment, training of staff, VIM set up etc.
? Pro-actively drive and implement measures to improve sales to the planned/target level
? Ensure new shop (pre-opening) costs are managed in the most effective way
The role needs to contribute to more efficiency in the shop operations, better planning and stronger controls to adjust shop performances. The Regional Sales Director needs to keep identifying best practices and replicate them across the organization.
She/He has to deliver high quality inputs and directions to the operations team. She/He has to guarantee regular communication and follow up with the shop team and shop managers through follow up on proper execution and implementation of all agenda points.
