Position Description:This position works closely with the U.S.-based treasury and tax team as well as the APAC Finance Director and APAC Tax and Treasury Manager and is responsible for all treasury functions in the Asia-Pacific region. This position will have exposure to all levels of corporate management, including the corporate CEO and CFO as well as the APAC Finance Director and APAC President.
Cash Management and Investments:- Directly responsible for supervising cash and tax planning for the Asia-Pacific region.- Prepare, review, and communicate monthly cash reports and cash forecasts for the Asia-Pacific region.- Daily review of bank balances and bank transactions and monthly review of bank account reconciliations.- Planning and implementation of cash repatriation actions, including dividends, loans, royalties, and management fees.- Daily investment and cash management to maximize investment returns within established investment guidelines.- Oversee the establishment of proper cash and tax planning systems and analysis and ensure regional subsidiaries are following established treasury and tax policies and procedures.
Fx Risk Management: - Identify and actively manage Fx exposures to limit Fx volatility on company's financial statements and cash positions.- Develop systems to automate the identification and reporting on Fx exposures.
Process Improvements:- Identification and implementation of value-added treasury projects.- Work closely with the finance transformation team to identify technology solutions to streamline banking processes to automate A/P and A/R processes to reduce costs.
Treasury Policies & Procedures:- Assist in developing and implementing both global and regional policies and procedures, which are consistent and in accordance with the respective Asia-Pacific country's statutory requirements.- Be an active member of the decision-making team both locally and at the regional level, specifically providing treasury and tax expertise and leadership.- Continuously monitor the various laws, tax rules and other related matters, which have the impact on the administration of the organization and advise management on pending legislative changes, risks, and prepare company's responses to such challenges. Reporting Relationship:- Reports to the Director of Global Treasury, and APAC Tax and Treasury Manager

Travel:- Minimal, but some travel will be necessary within the region as well as overseas travel for trainings, meetings, and other needs.
Experience/Education:- A degree in accounting and/or business administration (MBA, CPA, CMA or equivalent).- At least 7 years of diversified business experience including treasury.- Strong research, analytical skills, and attention to detail- Proven track record of being able to succeed in a large multi-national corporation.- Forward thinker with the ability to develop and articulate a vision.- Strong verbal and written communication skills in dealing with all levels of personnel.- Action-oriented and strong closure skills.- Ability to communicate complex treasury concepts in ways that are meaningful and useful to non-technical experts.
