Position Summary
- Build a marketing organization for OE and Aftermarket in China
- Manages the Product range of the Auto parts OE and aftermarket offering (e.g. Brake pads and disks, or hydraulics) with the Bendix and Jurid brands in EMEA
- Responsible for revenue, growth and gross margin evolution of the product line
- Decides what products are part of the offering according to customer needs, what are characteristics, pricing, and positioning of the products for the customer segments and how to differentiate company's offering from competition.

Principal Responsibilities
Portfolio Management & Strategy
- Defines specifications and establishes breadth, depth, and evolution of the product range and its positioning in the market according to customer segments and channels
- Manages product life from launching to cancellation in coordination with purchasing, finance and sales. Understands also implications to sales, inventory and operations planning (SIOP) and acts accordingly.
- Makes thorough market research and analysis, uses Voice of the customer regularly to understand customer needs of the different market players (wholesalers, installers, etc.) and sales channels,
- Monitors competitors and makes benchmarking of competitor offering
- Develops strategic partnerships with key suppliers
- Competitor monitoring, benchmarking, tradeshows
Project Management
- Coordinates execution of New Product introduction with the cross-functional teams of application engineering, supply base, logistics and sales. Makes sure that schedule and deliverables are maintained by all the functions to guarantee product introduction on time, within defined budget
- Ensures that products are introduced in the market with proper sales force training, product information availability, sales strategy, product argumentation.
Business
- Understands sales and gross margin evolution and variations, able to split through different customer types and geographic regions to analyze reasons and propose corrective actions
- Coordinates selling price strategies across Europe and its control, understands basic elements for pricing and how to improve profit
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Requirements
Education level and/or relevant experience
- Bachelors degree in marketing/business or engineering or sufficient technical / market experience
- 3-5 years of brand business experiences in strategic marketing/product management or sales of trade business products. Need 10 years or above working experience.
- Good understanding of marketing tools: 4Ps, Voice of the customer, product strategy, etc.
- MBA
Knowledge and Skills
- Advanced level of verbal and written English communication (one additional European language preferable)
- Excellent computer skills (Access, Excel, PPT), excellent product knowledge, Strong marketing and/ or sales acumen
- Good communication skills: presenting, facilitating discussions.
- Ability to handle and lead cross functional teams
