Responsibilities of Position:

- Develop and keep contacts to test and design partners at vehicle builder, train operators and brake manufacturers

- Consult the customers concerning friction material selection

- Advice of customers regarding the influence of technical changes to costs and prices

- Project manager for new customer-programs including the organization of purchased parts and samples from project start to production launch

- Technical responsibility for products during series production

- Good deep understanding of brakes and friction material.

- Developed good contacts to customer engineers

- Showed the ability to manage customer projects

Experience/Education Required/Sought:

- Degree as Eng. or Ph.D from College or University of Technology or Science with specialty in railway or automotive engineering (or mechanical engineering)

- High knowledge of railway products and product application and producing

- Strong oral and written English, second foreign language plus (German, French)

- Ability to work in international teams and projects

- PC and project management knowledge

- Experience as application engineer (in brake industry preferred)

- Existing useful contacts to CARS, CNR or CSR eligible
