职位描述
Position Objective
- To support the Company Values Statement by providing a central engineering support for Terminals and Connectors focused on providing world class facilities and layouts, dock to dock manufacturing systems and processes, and standardization across all future plants in the areas of equipment, tooling, processes and systems
Position Key Functions
- Supports and participates in the Quality First, Six Sigma and Lean Mfg. initiatives
- Establishes and monitors the Terminal and Connectors manufacturing engineering milestones and timing, based on overall project schedule
- Defines assembly process criteria compatible with quality and cost targets for Terminals and Connectors Manufacturing
- Establishes tools and equipment guidelines for standardization, and for sample and mass production requirements
- Responsible for the introduction of new manufacturing technologies and processes supported by the supply base.
- Suggests design modifications to improve quality and/or guide manufacturing and reduce cost
- Develops layout and forward plan, and supports corporate image plan in all current and future facilities for T&C's.
- Maintains continuous communications with internal and external customers to address requirements and concerns
- Supervises the performance of immediate subordinates, and conducts regular appraisal
- Provides proper and well-coordinated training and projects to the team members, aligned to accomplish the department's objectives, as well as for people development
- Supports the overall Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) programs; active involvement and participation of various EH&S activities; and being committed fully to the goals and objectives of 5S and other housekeeping programs
- Adherence to QS9000/TS16949 through the adherence to all applicable local procedures that require function and attention, as well as documentation of all procedures
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by direct superior for the achievement of departmental goals
Key Competencies/Description
Education
- Graduate of any engineering course, preferably B.S.I.E/ECE/EE/ME or equivalent experience
- A Masters degree an advantage
Experience
- Preferably with 6 to 8 years experience in a manufacturing plant, either in an engineering or manufacturing capacity
Personal Competencies
- Exercises broad judgment and decision-making authority, must be excellent in oral and written communication, proven leadership skills, technically knowledgeable in automatic processes, automation and electrical/ electronic testing methodologies, a strategic planner
Skills/Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of product design, engineering, manufacturing, tooling and processing Quality, Six Sigma and Lean systems
Others
- Travel availability and self motivated
