Location: Shanghai, China
POSITION SUMMARY:
Based on the direction of Director of Engineering of the company and GM of the company, this position will be responsible for new product R&D, customer complaints solving, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Build up China R&D New Product Development team.
2. Drive China team to be the center of excellence on Mechanical Design and Rectifiers Design.
3. Optimize new product development process, reduce the total cycle time.
4. New product planning, work closely with marketing and sales.
5. Resolve technical issues, mechanical or electrical.
6. Develop supplier tooling capability.
7. Manage and monitor new tooling fabrication, First Article Review, Product approval and validation.
8. Evaluation and approval of off-tool parts, sub assembly, finished products and preparation of engineering drawings.
9. ECN coordination and implementation.
10. Conducting appropriate engineering evaluation to improve productivity, efficiency and quality standard.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES
Manage R&D team.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
1. Degree/Masters in Mechanical Engineering
2. Minimum 10 years working experience in electronics products development, auto alternators or starters R&D experience is a plus.
3. Project Management in the field Experience.
4. Good knowledge in plastic injection molding, metal stamping, aluminum extrusion, die casting, SMT, thick film substrate design and manufacturer.
5. Good communication and strong negotiation skills.
6. Familiar with TS16949.
7. Knowledge of E Cad/Auto Cad, Solid Works and MS Office.
8. Oral and written English is a must.
