Description
Treasury Analyst located in Shanghai, whose immediate responsibilities are Treasury reporting, liquidity forecasting and analysis, and other transactional activities, with opportunities over the medium to long term to be involved in other areas of Treasury related work, including bank relationship management, financing arrangement, cash management, and risk controls.
Responsibilities
? Maintain Treasury workstations, including Quantum and Liquidity Express, recommend and implement software upgrades if necessary, and work with entities throughout the Asia Pacific region to increase automation and transparency, while ensuring data is updated and accurate
? Timely, accurate and complete daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting and analysis
? Support analysis for China cash pool position, including movement of funds between accounts to assure efficient funding of subsidiaries and minimize local borrowing requirements
? Identify plant surplus cash for short-term investments to enhance yields.
? Provide onsite consultation on the treasury workstations to local finance and plant teams in the region (present operations located in China, India, Korea, Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam)
? Prepare foreign exchange conversion documentation and documents for SAFE checks
? Assist the Treasury Director with various treasury related work, including but not limited to:
? Enforce policies to enhance treasury control in the region, and centralize treasury functions to the RHQ level
? Work closely with the local finance teams to determine operational banking needs and rationalize the bank accounts in the region
? Maintain banking relationships with preferred international relationship banks in the region, and if needed, local financial institutions
? All other treasury projects and related tasks that might arise from time to time
Requirements
? Highly motivated and independent finance professional with relevant working experience in an Asian office of a top-tier U.S. based multinational corporation or in an international bank handling the Treasury requirements of a top-tier multi-national corporation.
? Experience establishing and/or maintaining processes and controls for companies with operations throughout Asia
? Business degree in finance/accounting. MBA, CFA/CPA or equivalent would be useful but not necessary.
? 1 to 3 years progressive experience in finance/accounting; preference for direct treasury experience in the region
? Written and oral fluency in English; strong communications ability through either spoken or written mediums in both languages
? Strong, proven analytical abilities and demonstrated ability to use excel/other financial tools to construct models for decision making and solve financial problems systematically
? Ability to contribute and thrive in a global team-oriented environment as well as operate independently to identify treasury issues and needs, research, recommend and implement the details of various financial solutions
? Individual with professional demeanor who operates under highest standards of ethical conduct
? Experience working on Hyperion and QAD systems would be preferred and ability to adapt to new Treasury systems will be important.
? Some travel within the region may be required to provide necessary Treasury support and onsite training for operational finance teams.
