Position Description:
Purpose of Position:

In supporting the Strategy leader of Product Group, this position has responsibility for facilitating and supporting the process for developing business strategies for the Lenovo Product Group as well as for leading assigned strategy projects. The position also has responsibility for developing and managing all critical business processes necessary for the efficient and effective performance of the business leadership team.

Major Responsibilities:

Strategic Operations:
Lead the process to develop comprehensive business strategies including:
Help drive annual Strategic Plan / Deep Dive strategy process to achieve the longer term (3-5 year planning horizon) business goals. Drive annual execution planning cycles.
Ensure synergy and integration with corporate and other business functions' strategies. In close collaboration with the PG and stakeholder's business leadership team
Establish operational business plans and metrics for the shorter term (1 year planning horizon) including the Operating Plans and Priorities (1-Pager) to facilitate the deployment, tracking and management of long term business strategies

Leadership of strategy projects:
Manage the strategy project portfolio and prioritization process
Develop the project scope, plan with key milestones, timing and objectives, report on progress periodically and at key milestones, present strategic options and recommendation for approval
Function as the primary interface with related strategy and operations (PMO) teams on the major strategy projects and strategic initiatives

Business Process Management:
Support the Business Team meetings, particularly PLT and LEC
Coordinate PLT's Annual meeting schedule and logistics
PLT Agenda development and Meeting process

Criteria for Performance Evaluation:
Effectiveness of business strategy development
Effectiveness of strategic project execution
Effectiveness of collaboration within PG leadership team and with rest of Lenovo

Position Requirements:
BS is a must, MBA or equivalent preferred, business majored or technology majored
Minimum business experience of 9 years required
Excellent written and presentation skill
Excellent analytic skills and experience
Hand-on experience in R&D, technology and/or strategy/business development required
IT, PC, Telecom, or related experience preferred
International business experience preferred
Business transformation and change management experience
Business or strategic consulting background is a plus
Rigorous, methodical and analytical balanced with effective judgment
