Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities

·Demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes for an area or business segment. Has the experience or expertise to solve problems. Able to develop and execute objectives for self and others. This role has the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. · Provide leadership and technical direction for assigned organizational responsibilities, programs, and personnel. · Provide support counsel and recommendations to organizational General Manager and Project Management. · Promote technical excellence within own section and support groups through design/technical review participation, lessons learned awareness and application, and technical innovation/growth fostering. · Establish and maintain relationships with required external and internal interfaces to ensure that customer requirements are understood and being achieved. · Establish/modify/monitor overall engineering program requirements, timing, and resources of own section and support groups to meet/exceed business objectives and goals. · Effectively communicate technical and financial aspects of section activities vertically and horizontally in the organization. · Ensure positive actions are taken to encourage growth, technical development, and improved interpersonal skills. · Implement initiatives to continuously improve the responsiveness of the section/organization to customer/business needs. · Ensure compliance initiatives and training requirements are implemented.

Qualifications/Requirements

· Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering · At least 3 additional years of experience in a leadership role within an engineering environment · At least 2 years experience managing direct reports · Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in the development projects · Demonstrated strong leadership to lead coach and develop the team · Technical leadership growth capabilities · Must have good problem solving skills along with good English written and verbal communication skills. · A strong team player with demonstrated commitment to process improvement.
