JOB Description:
JOB PURPOSE:  To assist in management of manufacturing logistics serving a client operation.
 
JOB DUTIES: 
- Assists the manager, who is responsible to meet client needs and achieve profitability objectives of the ILS Account(s), with office, storeroom and POU delivery operations ensuring client contract requirements are achieved or exceeded.  Manages and continuously improve storeroom and POU delivery operations to maximize layout, processes and culture related to receiving, storing, order filling, packing, shipping, quality control, inventory counts, kanban, kiting, sub-assembling and etc.
- Serves as liaison to facility operations management and ILS Account team. Determines information services requirements for client, seeking assistance of the manager as necessary. Recommends changes, assists in continuous improvement initiatives for warehousing processes and implements new systems/processes.
Communicates and maintains a culture of open relationships with associates. Assists supervisors/associates in answering associate concerns/complaints.  Determines and implements staffing levels for assignment completion. Participates in recruiting and screening routines for new employees. Assures employees are thoroughly trained in processes and business practices/policies. Reporting to this position are logistics supervisors/associates and/or invoice clerks.
- Supports purchases of indirect material suppliers and capital items required for daily operations.  Assumes responsibility for operations in absence of manager and is typically critical to a successful startup of new operations.  Responsible for operational updates, written and oral reports and operations summaries.


Qualifications:
- Requires moderate to extensive experience (minimal in 5 years)  in all aspects of warehouse and inbound logistics operations including previous staff and supervisory experience. 
- Must have the ability to work with Caterpillar and client managers and possess excellent communication and analytical skills. Self starter, ideally with logistics startup experience.
- Has knowledge of warehouse management IT system, understanding to SAP WM is highly preferred. Able to read and write in English.

通州地区紧邻卡特彼勒中国现有的多个生产基地，以及大多数供应商。目前，卡特彼勒在中国已经建立了16个生产制造厂，4个研发中心以及3个物流分配中心。
