To increase sales of the International range of protective coatings : ? Through the development of new and existing Specifiers / Owners and customers; (Engineers / DI / Architects / EPC's) ? Through management and maximisation of returns from projects by improved market intelligence and specification position ? To increase sales of focus product sales through increased specification of these products. ? Through increase in strike rate (projects secured) Responsibilities:
? Manage regional engineering selling team to deliver KPI's agreed for the ES team, including contact rates / penetration ratings / project success (or conversion), Oneplace usage for the ES team.
? Maintain an acute awareness of the protective coatings industry, its new products and trends and analyse customer circumstances and requirements.
? Develop new and existing customers, identify new projects and existing and emerging users of protective coatings, and develop credibility in the protective coatings industry through the provision of effective value proposition.
? Provide first level after-sales technical service and problem-solving to customers, technical personnel and facility owners and refer more complex matters to the line manager or Technical Group.
? Visit key accounts on-site and negotiate the sale of Akzo Nobel protective coatings products and service. Build relationship with senior level management of customers and make sure ANPC's value proposition is well conveyed and realized. Support the marketing effort by reviewing and preparing case history files.
? Produce appropriate documentation in accordance with both Business & Quality Plans. Administer appropriate documentation as required, including that which is required through statutory authorities.
? Maintain close contact with sales representatives and sales management, TOD, Marketing and other Project Managers in order to utilise opportunities effectively.
? Work within the Mercuri disciplines. Use and have own team use Oneplace CRM tool for customer data base, project tracking and specifications. Make sure key account plans are well developed and progress is reviewed regularly. Provide monthly reporting
? Develop own team through informal feedback, formal coaching, and development schemes with full utilize of PD & D. Take staff engagement as key source of competitive advantage.
? Make sure own and team members activities fully align with AkzoNobel code of conduct and HSSE policies. Requirements:
? Bachelor above degree in Science or Engineering.
? At least 5 years experience in sales and marketing with 2 years in management role.
? Strong team management capability and experience.
? Proven performance in complicated business environment.
? Solid evidence in key account management or project management.
? Competent verbal and writing English skills.
? Computer literacy.
? Experience in dealing with contracting companies and technical personnel.
? Experience or knowledge of steel coatings and blast cleaning.
? Marketing experience / direct training. ? Strong interpersonal, negotiation and/or influencing skills.
? A customer/business focus with ability to network within the industry.
? A flexible and team-oriented approach.
? Ability to exhibit commercial confidentiality
? Detail minded to ensure specifications are correct
