Position: Assistant Infrastructure Manager

PURPOSE & SCOPE OF THE JOB

The purpose of the Assistant Infrastructure Manager is to provide support to the Infrastructure Manager for all regional infrastructure management activities.

Additionally, the role is to organize the management of IT operations, services and projects for Singapore and Sapphire. The person is responsible for maintaining end user relationships, to ensure for all IT delivered services, consistency in customer satisfaction and service quality.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES


IT Operations & Support Management:
- Addresses incidents, service requests, problems and escalations in a timely manner.
- Manage escalations of business/mission critical operational issues for resolution.
- Abides to the standard Givaudan policies, process and procedures.
- Supports site communications to End Users on any maintenance and/or service outages.
- Ensures that operating services are restored to normal in any major service interruptions.
- Engages with business stakeholders and managers to understand IT needs.
- Provides ongoing feedback and input on opportunities for continuous service improvement.
- Promotes Givaudan standard IT services to End Users.
- Recommend new uses of IT services to enhance business performance.
- Coordinates with global support teams on requests and rollout deployments.
- Ensures all IT site backup services and security policies are compliant to company audit regulations.

IT Asset & Site Management:
- Responsible to maintain accurate IT asset inventory.
- Ensures that all core IT responsible equipment is in good operating condition.
- Provides maintenance support for End User IT responsible equipment.
- Manages IT asset disposals according to local company rules.
- Oversees hardware evaluation and procurement of new IT equipment requests.
- Coordinates with vendors for equipment support and maintenance.




Participation:
- Participates in monthly Service Desk and IT Operational review meetings.
- Participates in APAC IT projects where required.
- A member of the APAC IT Infrastructure Governance team (Run Organization).

Functional Reporting:
- Infrastructure Manager

Administrative Reporting:
- Regional IT Manager



JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Knowledge (including languages)
- Polytechnic or University Degree in IT.
- Good understanding of Service Delivery Management (preferably ITIL certified).

Language:
- Good spoken & written English.
- Mandarin is a significant advantage.

Experience (types & years)
- 5-7 years of experience in a multi-national organization with multi-site management & interaction with HQ.
- Over 3 years of experience in project management and large scale rollout deployments.
- Over 2 years or more of experience in managing a team of people functionally.

Job Specific Competencies

Technical Knowledge:
- Windows (7) Desktop Environment;
- Lotus Notes; Google Mail;
- WIN File & Print Server management;
- LANDesk & Software package deployment;
- Cisco Telephony, Conferencing & Network solutions (WAN, LAN, WLAN) (CCNA / CCNP is an advantage);
- SAP Infrastructure (Printing and RF) solutions;
- Manufacturing systems & robotics.

Personal Skills:
- Good analytical, written and presentation communication skills
- Strong organizational and change management (influence and facilitation) skills.
- Able to multi task, work under stress and manage user expectations.
- Proactive, flexible and adaptive to situations.
- Committed to provide excellent user/customer support.

Mobility:
- Some travel (20%) may be required.
