Overview of Position:
? Responsible for controlling production operations
? Ensures that production quality and cost targets are met
? Ensures the compliance of the production processes in a chemical production site
? Responsible to maintain and improve the high environment, health and safety standards based on the local law, regulations for the chemical industry and company expectations
? Duties include production and assembly, quality control, material handling, scheduling, health & safety programs, etc.
? Monitors production processes and the effective use of manpower and equipment
? Assists the plant manager by taking full responsibility for day to day plant operations

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
? Manages production operations on multiple shifts across several departments
? Establishes short-term activities directed toward production continuity and balance: shift schedules, ensuring requisition of materials, machine loading, equipment maintenance, etc.
? Coordinates and integrates with other plant functional areas to ensure support in attaining output, productivity and quality
? Selects, organizes, trains, and motivates production labor force to ensure consistent attainment of production schedules at optimum productivity and cost levels. Provides leadership in driving an incident-free culture
? Recommends improvements in production flow or methods
? Customer Focus: Meet or exceed customer expectations in the areas of quality, service, and on-time delivery. Address customer service issues in timely fashion
? Utilizes Management of Change process for new product introduction, process operational changes, new equipment installation and operation, etc.

Education:
Bachelors Degree: Chemical Engineering or equivalent

Prior Work Experience:
Minimum 10 years in the Specialty Chemical or Petroleum Industry, or related bulk chemical processing industry.
Required Skills or Abilities:
? Working knowledge of plant processes & equipment and packaging systems; PSM; LEAN; Six-Sigma
? Ability to lead, manage, and inspire in a High Performance Work Team environment
? Working Knowledge and Commitment to EHS&S standards and policies
? Strong background in Supply Chain Management
? Excellent leadership, communication, and problem solving skills
? Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
