Position: Manager, Operation

Reporting to: Senior Manager, Plant Project

JOB OBJECTIVES:

Be responsible for overseeing all operations/manufacturing activities for F&I, H workshops and WH within rudong site to ensure continuous and efficient production at a desired level of quantity, quality and cost. Establishes schedules and ensures effective and efficient use of manpower, materials and equipment .Manages and trains a team of production staff.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Know How Transfer

Support Process and Technology Mgr secure know how transfer for F&I and H plants production from BASF; setting the targets for the production

2. Production Planning

Organizing activities in production in order to fulfil the marketing requirements in quantity, quality and time. Coordination with other functions for planning(supply chain, logistics etc.).

3. Cost

Preparing yearly budget; Cost control and cost reduction programs for production in order to improve the profitability.

4. Operations:

1) Increasing the productivity, monitor the production effectiveness; Initiate and coordinate improvement of production process thus increasing capacity, decrease fixed cost, and maintain quality at high level of reproducibility.

2) Work together with Logistics, to ensure warehousing activities are in line with establish procedures.

3) Responsible for updates of the operational / working procedures in collaboration with the process mgr.

5. Organization/ Personnel Development:

personnel management in production and Warehouse organization. Assessment of personal capabilities and subsequent improvement proposals to site manager;Initiate training and qualification measure for the staff in production plants according to their job and position

6. EHS:

1) Ensure EHS compliance in the plant. Administer plant working permit system.

2) Monitoring of safety standards, responsible for operations / plant safety, ensure establishing and execution of company's safety regulations, develop safety and health consciousness of personnel; Implement ISO9001/14001 and EHS responsibility to ensure the continuous improvement.

7. Quality:

1) Responsible for production in full compliance to product specification

2) Set goals and supervise QC to assure consistency of product quality; set up a quality assurance system according to ISO 9001; reach customer satisfaction, remedying potential problem permanently

8. Project

Support new projects during planning stage

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Education: Bachelor or above in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering

2. Working Experience: more than 10 years relevant experience

3. Technical & Professional Knowledge: BASF EHS knowledge & Chinese EHS regulations; Good English and PC skills, Ability of Management, Organization and Strong personnel leadership skills; Recognize the development in the markets
