Position: Assistant Manager, Maintenance

Reporting to: Senior Manager, Plant Project

JOB OBJECTIVES:

1. Responsible for maintenance of all mechanical and electrical equipment in Rudong site, including installation and /or repair in order to ensure the production running at high reliability and with cost effectiveness.

2. Manages and trains the maintenance team.

3. Responsible for the maintenance cost within budgeted cost.

4. plan, direct, monitor and review all activities in utility (water, gas, electricity) supply to support production needs.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Direct supervision of the Maintenance team. Reviews and/or approves matters pertaining to maintenance personnel time sheets, training, discipline, etc. to ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards and provide satisfactory productivity within group.

2. Maintenance and repair services

To ensure the proper operating condition of the mechanical and electrical equipment of the operational units. according to production plans, develop, monitor, implement and review the policies and procedures of maintenance/ repair services for production, including planning and coordinating the major activities/ projects in maintenance, certification and calibration services. Reviews work orders and equipment history to identify and correct recurring problems.

3. Responsible for the troubleshooting of all industrial mechanical equipment (pumps, formulators, agitators, dryers, fans, blowers, compressors, A/C units, chillers, filling line and many other utilities and process equipment) as needed, to diagnose problems and determine necessary repairs or replacements.

4. Responsible for the annul maintenance budget. Provide information to management regarding the budget for equipment, software and hardware purchases/installation and maintenance

5. Supports capital projects as needed. Reviews and recommends details concerning the design of modifications of new and existing facilities ensuring compliance with BASF specifications and standards. Check the installation of all Mechanical and electrical equipment and quality assurance check on site; and as the interface contact person for engineering / maintenance resource.

6. Responsible for managing all the mechanical and electrical equipment related technical documents. In line with the equipment instruction of supplier and the actual situation in plant, initially develop and keep updating the plant maintenance manual to guide the maintenance activities, ensure the efficient and effective maintenance and repairing services to meet production requirements. Set up filing system for all maintenance / repairing records so as to produce monthly reports on analyzing and identifying the maintenance/repairing problems, including recommendations to improve the machinery/equipment performance and services standards.

7. Responsible for assessment and selection of service providers

8. Responsible for technical documentation (docu development and updating). Reflection and accomplishment of legal operator duties with regard to technical aspects.

9. Technical implementation and plant modifications and improvements

10. Spare parts management

According production requirements, setup right spare parts inventory. make sure all procedures related spare parts warehouse management in place. conduct timely stock taking and minimize the stock deviation.

11. Preparation of utility engineering and supply

According to production needs, make ready the utility engineering and supply in quality and timing to ensure sufficient utility supply and engineering support for production.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Education: Bachelor degree with major in Mechanical, Electrical Engineer, automatization or related discipline.

2. Working Experience: over 5 years in Chemical industry, and 3 years maintenance management experience

3. Technical & Professional Knowledge: 1). solid knowledge and skill of Equipment such as: reactors, formulators, agitator, pumps, heat exchangers, cooling towers, air compressors, nitrogen dispensing units, refrigeration units, power distribution stations, mills, blenders, DCS, PLC, and filling lines; 2). Communication: Good communications with other colleagues, Good English in both reading and writing.
