Key Areas of Responsibility

1. The product engineer is responsible for writing and execution of the Characterization and Industrialization Plan for a business creation project in which all PE-activities and requirements from Specification to Release gates are reflected.
2. With the industrial product ability reports at Validated-gate and Release-gate he provides the prove and advice the stakeholders that the product is suitable for mass production;
3. He will act as liaison between the product line, the wafer fabs, the engineering-teams in the Far East and the test and assembly centers.
4. The product engineer as product owner is responsible for yield monitoring, hold lot management of his product portfolio and initialization of related improvement actions. In this role he will act as a liaison between the business line and the wafer, test and assembly factories with respect to activities related to the business fulfillment process. He will report on a monthly base on yield performance and improvements of his product portfolio (e.g. Tashiro);
5. The Product Engineer is responsible for transferring the product ownership to the engineering-team in the Far East after ramp-up.

7. >Role in Product Creation Process
8. The product engineer will take care of the industrial product ability of his products. He will safeguard design for high and stable yields.
9. The product engineer specifies DfA-requirements (Design for Analysis) and DfM-requirements (Design for Manufacturing) and evaluates the implementation
10. The product engineer contributes in the specification, design and implementation of the automated bench setup. He will evaluate product performance using Shmoo and other techniques.
11. The product engineer will contribute to the characterization process, executing and reporting on ESD, Latch-Up, temperature characterizing. Next to that, he will evaluate rejects of life-test experiments.
12. The product engineer is responsible for the alignment of the setting of datasheet limits, test limits and operational performance

14. Role in Sustaining Process
15. The product engineer will, as the product owner actively seek for opportunities to reduce production costs of his product portfolio
16. The product engineer participates in industrial projects and has an important role in the different transfer activities within NXP, like wafer process and package transfers.
17. The product engineer will support in handling customer complaints (Customer Analysis Request) of his product portfolio and supporting production-sites
18. The product engineer will participates in customer teams related to industrial performance and/or problems at the customer. He/she therefore should be able to do the risk assessment of PE and/or customer claims & product call backs
19. Will drive quality improvement programs and activities initiated by customers; e.g. make Cost Of Non Quality and Cost of Quality visible within defined business scope
20. He will be able to judge ECN’s & PCN’s, sign off 8D reports in customer complaint process

Requirements

1. Master or Bachelor degree in electronics
2. Relevant experience (> 5 years) with PE activities preferably in Automotive
3. Knowledge of IC  process technology (Mixed signal & digital). Able to support Failure Analysis in digital processes (Fault Allocation in digital designs)
4. Knowledge and experience in digital (test-) architectures (JTAG, I2C, SCAN, TCB, TAP)
5. Experience in data analysis tools (Data power is pre)
6. Extended knowledge and experience in statistical tools and methods.
7. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt certified)
8. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing
9. Experience in working in global, cross functional teams
10. Team worker with good communication skills in English
11. Able to plan his own activities in the scope of a larger project and delivers on commitment
12. Entrepreneurial attitude and an enthusiastic team player.
13. Occasional traveling should be no problem
