Primary Responsibilities:
The Quality Manager will be responsible for the administration and management of all aspects of the plants quality activities. Responsibilities include management of internal and external relationships relative to quality, including suppliers and customers and outside auditing agencies. In addition, the Quality Manager oversees the management of all internal quality control systems and quality performance improvement initiatives
Detailed Responsibilities:
1. Initiate and lead project teams on non-conformance and Corrective Actions related investigations regarding component failures, finished goods failures, and product returns. This includes performing risk analysis, determining root cause and recommending corrective action and submitting summary reports for closure.
2. Thorough understanding of various quality tools including, Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fish Bone Diagram, SPC, 5 why, Process Control Plans, sampling plans and or other appropriate quality tools to define and manage risk or identify root cause of failure.
3. Implement and manage continuous improvement activities using 6 sigma, DMAIC and various lean methodologies.
4. Perform training on procedures and continuous improvement activities.
5. Develop and implement quality systems including APQP, calibration, inspection, and maintenance procedures as required.
6. Perform internal and supplier qualification audits as required.
7. Prepare customer presentations in English and Chinese.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Strong written and verbal skills in English and Chinese is mandatory
Prior experience in electronics/automotive Industry preferred.
Knowledge of ISO 9000 and/or TS16949
Experience with executing the 8D corrective action process
Must be able to work in fast paced environment and demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands.
Possess the ability to identify problems, trends; develop solutions and implement a course of action
Experience in statistical process control and process improvement
Education / Training:
A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science, engineering, quality, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
5 + years in a manufacturing environment
Fluent in English and Chinese
