Senior HR Consultant / HR Manager

Location: Shanghai


Your tasks


As Senior HR Consultant/ HR Manager (m/f) will work closely with line managers to understand their business objectives and challenges and provide comprehensive HR advice. You will also be collaborating with your counterparts at the HQ in Europe in order to deliver holistic solutions to your internal clients. Your essential duties and responsibilities will comprise:

· Support line managers in all matters of the employee life cycle in order to ensure business function has the right talent to meet Company objectives and growth strategy

· Advise management on the labor market situation and major changes in labor law

· Ensure the company’s compliance with Chinese Regulations and Law by continuously reviewing and updating the company’s HR-related processes and policies

· Actively involved in the recruitment process: Select candidates, interview all relevant positions, and be responsible for negotiating employment offers

· Execute the company’s performance review program in order to identify current and forecasted talent needs; plan and conduct effective training and development programs

· Supervise the pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; monitor and schedule individual pay actions; recommend, plan, and implement pay structure revisions in order to ensure a competitive compensation plan

· Develop, maintain and improve employee benefit programs by monitoring and assessing benefit needs and trends

· Act as first point of contact for employees and managers of the organization as well as the HR Department of the parent company in Europe

· Be responsible for functional leadership of a small HR team


Your skills

You are having a strong background as HR Generalist working across both operations and projects, preferably in an international environment in the automotive industry. Ideally, you are having, next to a final University degree, experience working across the entire employee lifecycle including: recruiting, learning and development, payroll & benefits, organization, labor law and employment relations. Our client is a fluid Company and no two days are the same. If you are faced with a situation that you have not experienced before, you will be able to independently determine a way forward. Furthermore, you are easily handling multiple tasks and priorities at the same time. You are an excellent communicator, with the ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin and English as well as write clear, well-structured documents including policies and procedures. Moreover, you are having a thorough knowledge about the MS-Office Package with a strong emphasis on MS Word and MS Excel. Above all, you are an enthusiastic and passionate HR professional, enjoying dealing with other cultures, inspiring those around you through your approachable nature.
