Description of the role: Electrical System Design and Engineering in allocated contract.
Key tasks:
The electrical design of a single complicated item, or several/all uncomplicated items in a contract.
Under the supervision of a Senior Designer, the Designer is responsible for multiple/all items of a more complicated type in a contract.
Allocated sub-contractors work and deliveries.
Time and allocated resource planning and follow ups within allocated contracts, reporting to Design Responsible and Control Systems Manager.
Support R&D/Standard in NC-process and product development
Electrical design includes per definition:
Drawings (Production of Layout DWGi, Single line DWGi, Schematic DWGi, Bill of material, spare part-list).
PLC programming, Production of complete software for allocated item/items.
Calculation (Calculation of cable sizes, feeder sizes, contactor and relay sizes, panel sizes).
Classification regulations (From given parameters, designing in accordance with regulations, and choosing adequate equipment).
Requirements:
Four year university degree in Electrics/Mechatronics, Master Preferred;
8+ years of experience in the similar positions, shipbuilding, ship equipment and offshore industry preferred;
Well-versed in CAD software;
Very good personality and open-minded;
Good communication and interpersonal skills;
Good teamwork;
Good English, both written and speaking;
