Job Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the overall mechanical design effort which includes the mechanical design and formal testing.
2. Contribute to mechanical engineering requirements capture and analysis
3. Design, test, analyze, integrate, qualify and document mechanical of moderate to high complexity such as multiple mechanical components and/or material technologies.
4. Review mechanical defects trends, identify systematic root causes and process improvements.
5. Recommend new approaches, tools and techniques that drive continuous improvement in hardware development processes.
6. Estimate, track, own and report status related to technical performance, cost, schedule, design-to-cost and risk performance for assigned scope of work.
7. Provides input to engineering roadmaps for development of products and systems.
8. Participate in design to cost initiatives to reduce recurring and nonrecurring engineering costs.
9. Support technical discussions with suppliers or other external parties
10. Interacts with manufacturing to resolve any questions the manufacturing team may have.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable is required
2. Minimum 5 years light industry mechanical engineering working experiences;
3. Design and documentation experience within a 3-D modeling tool (SolidWorks)
4. Experience using 2D Engineering design tool (AutoCAD)
5. Experience using Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point)
6. Ability to generate design concepts and documentation for mechanical systems
7. Good knowledge of materials, fabrication methods, and structural concepts
8. Familiar with national and international materials and products standards
9. Proven ability to work with others to define and solve problems
10. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
11. Fluent spoken and written skills in English and in Chinese
