Essential Duties &Responsibilities:
? Be responsible for sales in assigned region including handle the day-to-day contact with the customer ensuring their needs are met in regards to product, application and service, while achieving assigned budgets and other designated performance standards.
? Set, implement and fulfill sales goals & objectives.
? Actively market and develop new potential customers and other possibilities
? Prospecting and new business development; identifying potential customers from industry sources, trade shows and from own primary research.
? Building new and maintaining current relationships with customers at all levels of their organization (from operators to Owner/President), ensuring a thorough understanding of the customers’ purchasing activity and business needs.
? Direct inputs to R&D team to develop application performance data for targeted customers and market segments.
? Assist and conduct distributor's sales activities
? Participate in data collection of adhesive, ink and other related industries market information,
? Collect relevant governmental regulations and industrial /commercial market information.
? Analyze account & territory business to identify opportunities & weak areas, formulate objectives & plans to bring about corrective actions.
? Demonstrate ability to consistently and timely close leads and fill pipeline with opportunities within price and terms desirable to Company.
? Professionally interact and work internally with engineers, technical service, inside sales reps, customer service, etc.
? Perform other duties as required by line manager
Education/Qualifications:
? BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in Chemical Engineering, preferred with 5 years proven sales experience in chemical industry.
? Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and other objectives.
? Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
? Prior successful experience, in a sales role, with experience in chemicals preferred.
? Strong ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally within a matrix environment
? Strong leadership, planning and organization, problem solving and decision-making skills
? Technical background very desirable
Working Conditionsor Restrictions:
? Travel – 60%
? Must be able to travel to a variety of locations and work effectively in a variety of environments including
Office, Headquarters, Laboratory, Plant, and various Customer and Supplier locations.
Language Skills:
? The ability to communicate effectively in English (read, write and speak) is required in order to interact with multiple levels of the organization.
? Knowledge of Japanese will be an advantage
Reasoning Ability:
? Must be capable of thinking through complex issues analytically.
? Capable of reducing business situations to clear and focused action plans.
? Seeks to address the underlying/future needs of customers.
? Is energetic and decisive in driving ideas and activities forward.
? Has an ability to develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with key figures, building long term partnerships.

? This person must be ambitious, energetic, diligent, tenacious, and self-motivated.

? Must have strong organizational and problem solving skills.
? Must have strong communication skills. Articulate.
? Excellent interpersonal skills - able to interact across all disciplines and at all levels from Shop floor to Sr. Executives.
? Strong demonstrated time/territory management skills
? Must be proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and database programs.
? Must be career oriented and be able to be promoted to the next level
