Key areas of responsibility:
Lead application strategy and IT solutions for DBD, DMD and CME
Project management
Manage team performance
Maintain and expand positive relationships with NN worldwide and external parties
Main job tasks:
Lead application strategy and IT solutions for DBD, DMD and CME
• Develop a short and medium term IT application strategy for DBD, DMD and CME, ensure the alignment of business strategy
• Act as the liaison of BDP and business unit management team, setup effective communication channel to support business partners, thereby to ensure BDP team provides the valuable solutions to DBD, DMD and CME
o Manage the key stakeholders of DBD, DMD and CME (management team)
o Centralized control the project portfolio related to DBD, DMD and CME, prioritizing the IT projects and ensure the maximum ROI
o Support DBD, DMD and CME to setup the IT related budget
• Challenge the IT PMM (Project Management Methodology) and improve the effectiveness
Project management:
Collaborate with project owners to determine detailed project scope and objectives based on the business case
Manage project lifecycle and ensure the alignment of IT PMM/Light IT PMM/Super Light IT PMM
o Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements and draft the URS (users requirements specification)
o Serve as the conduit between BU and the 3rd party development team, well translate the business needs to operational requirements
o Create and maintain a project communication plan
o Drive the vendor selection and ensure the best ROI of the project
o Participate in contract negotiation and administration
o Work with BU and external vendor to proceed AS-IS and TO-BE analysis, prepare detailed flow charts and diagrams outlining systems capabilities and processes
o Verify the solution specification and ensure it is aligned with the URS
o Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications throughout the project lifecycle
o Lead UAT (user acceptance testing)
o Perform project pilot as needed and cooperate with external vendor to solve the problems
o Generate periodic reports to key stakeholders
o Cooperate with BU to perform the project post evaluation and draft the project completion report
Manage team performance
• Setup challenging and measurable goals to the team, ensure the targets are met or exceeded year after year
• Monitor the process and coach on the approach
• Develop a team capable of meeting future challenges
• Direct and support the ongoing development of employees in line with present and future business needs
Maintain and expand positive relationships with NN worldwide and external parties
• Actively and openly contribute to the co-operation between HQ and BAC in order to improve support from HQ
Maintain a good relationship with industry peers, bring the best practices to the company
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree or above, major on computer related
5 years experience in project management/IT consultant, 2-3 years in IT team management
• Proven skills in leading high talent teams including business partner team, IT architecture and application development team
• High proficiency verbal and written language stills in both English and Chinese Mandarin
• Strong ability to motivate employees
• Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work load and meet project deadlines
• Experience with strategic work planning and budgeting required
• Must have proven leadership skills, and a proactive and optimistic management style
• Broad technical experience and understanding of the technology environment, lean, 6 sigma experiences as plus
• Thorough knowledge of programming concepts and procedures
• Ability to make independent decisions
• Strong customer service focus
Excellent communication skills, including presentations and negotiations
Education:
Bachelor degree or above
Major on computer related
MBA, a plus
Professional experience:
7 years of related IT experience. 4 years experience in project management, preferably 1-2 years in IT consultant
Min 3 years in a people management position
Siebel experience is preferred
