职位描述：

The R&D Category Assistant is part of the TCM category team, with responsibility for product development and project support for the TCM Category Team; and laboratory work mainly focused on TCM Category activities across a broad range of regulatory categories in collaboration with the wider R&D team.

Based within the category team this is largely a lab based role positioned to support scientific and technical activities, in alignment with the wider team. The role will be reporting to the Category TCM R&D Associate.

RESPONSBILITES / Accountabilities:

• To support development and implementation of assigned NPD/EPD projects along with the creation, evaluation and reporting of relevant data (performance, stability, analytical etc…) and ensure that the test methods and results are recorded in the appropriate way. Analyze the results of these tests and investigation and draw an appropriate conclusion. Present and discuss the conclusion with his/her superior using the appropriate format and mentioning any issues or unusual results.

• To organize and lead industrial trials as required for the production of consumer test samples or scale-up studies as well as be responsible for the production of lab samples for the purpose of evaluation and consumer testing.

• To manage specific projects independently making sure formulation development, performance tests, stability tests, and support to industrial trials, copy clearance and specification setting are carried out in a compliant manner, mindful on ongoing inspection requirements from regulatory bodies

• To manage in collaboration with his/her other colleagues of the day-to-day supply of the laboratory including raw material samples, finished product samples, and competitor samples.

• To be responsible for the maintenance of his/her laboratory equipment and working space and ensure, with his/her other colleagues that the required safety measures are in place. Reports any deviation to his/her superior on the area Health and Safety representative.

• To take part in continuous improvement activities supporting the team & wider R&D community & RB

· Procurement and Supply (Internal & External)

· Third parties e.g. Academic Institutions and Technical Associations

· Regulatory, legal, clinical, consumer teams as needed.

Main Challenges and Performance Indicators:

• Supporting a wide variety of projects across the TCM pipeline and technology platforms.
• Prioritization skills, self starting and independent working.
• Project management and problem solving
• Provision of consumer preferred formulation development

Professional Qualifications/Experience:

· Degree in TCM, Pharmacy, or other relevant scientific discipline

· Basic word processing, spreadsheet and related computer skills

· The business language in RB is English, therefore fluency in English is essential and fluency in local language is advantageous.

· 1-2 years experience of common lab test and knowledge of TCM or Pharmacy technology are desirable but not essential.
