JOB TITLE: Costing Analyst
DIRECTLY REPORTS TO: Costing Manager
LOCATION: Shanghai
Key Responsibilities:
? Develop product and process data and conduct cost estimating in costing models
? Ensure costed BOM (CBOM) up to date with most recent engineering changes, manufacturing process definition, or economics assumption changes. Change impacts are well bridged to assist the achievement of program financial targets
? Cost benchmarking between different product designs, manufacturing processes, and economic assumptions. Contribute cost improvement ideas to engineering and operation team
? Responsible for costing model and rate development on internal/external product or manufacturing process, using activity-based-costing method. Ensure costing model rates regularly updated and bridged with market or internal realities
? Support product planning, business planning, industrialization footprint study, and other strategic planning activities
? Deliver product cost estimating training to relevant functions. Conduct on-job coaching and real place workshop to ensure knowledge and skill well transferred
Key Requirements:
? Bachelor Degree or above, major in Engineering preferred, advanced education degrees in business, economics, finance, and accounting is a plus.
? 3-5 years relative work experience, automotive or relevant manufacturing company preferred
? 4 years experience in industrial / process engineering, material processing, or
? product engineering, cost estimating related experience preferred.
? Sufficient knowledge of engineering design relateing to mechanical products or production process
? Fundamental knowledge of accounting and financial management
? Basic knowledge of general process of program management and control
? Engineering design and various Office software
? Ability to take initiative, work independently and accomplish tasks efficiently
