Position Title - Laboratory Systems Support Specialist
Report to :Director (American）
Position Overview
This position is responsible for providing daily business and technical support of key business systems used by the Global Quality Laboratory function at The XXXX Company. As part of a global support team, a key aspect of this position is to ensure global alignment of master data, company specifications, business processes, analytics, and reporting across multiple labs and geographies.
The core business knowledge scope for this position is specific to laboratory functions & processes, and procedures. The general business knowledge scope includes manufacturing & product production, quality management, and information technology. Experience in successfully supporting enterprise wide global systems will be an advantage.
The core technical knowledge scope is specific to supporting both Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server based reporting systems Working knowledge and experience with Nautilus and/or Sample Manager LIMS systems are critical for success in this role. This support role requires a high degree of communication and interaction within the laboratory function and with key stakeholders within the company. Demonstrated experience in supporting systems from both a technical and end user point of view will be an advantage.
Position Functions:
The Laboratory Systems Support Analyst is responsible for:
- Global support of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), this includes:
? Laboratory workflow
? Instrument Integration
? Lab Reporting and Barcoding
? Software problem solving skills
? Instrument software systems (Chromatography, Mass Spec, etc.)
- Global support of Data Management and Reporting Systems, this includes:
? Business Objects reporting systems (Voyager, Web Intelligence, Crystal)
? Master Data management systems
? Metrics reporting
? Data security and user access
- Alignment of Business Systems and Processes:
? Adhering to company standards, processes and procedures
? Ensuring consistency across systems
? Leveraging best practices and reuse


Job Requirements / Qualifications:
? Demonstrated ability to identify, document, and analyze user requirements and business processes and design solutions under minimal supervision and guidance from senior management
? Analyzing the impact of proposed solutions/enhancements on performance, usability, etc.
? Proficiency in Laboratory Information Management System solutions and system engineering processes, analysis tools, standards and assigned application domain areas.
? Basic database, workstation, and network troubleshooting
? Working experience with SQL and Oracle Based Reporting Tools
? Team work skills required to liaison with local and global I/T functions to solve technical problems
? Ability to write and maintain effective technical and user documentation
? Ability to understand and effectively communicate business and technical objectives within a professional working environment
? Ability to develop and recommend solutions to complex problems under time constraints

Knowledge & Experience:
At least 5 years working in a systems support role and with global applications and support experience is preferred. Working knowledge of a problem resolution environment and the ability to understand/work with multiple software systems.
Education & Professional Qualification:
Bachelor degree in a science or related field.
Working knowledge of Microsoft programs such as word excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)

Travel Requirements:
Travel up to 15% of work time under normal conditions
