A) Job Objective & Key Result Area
? Objective: The position is responsible to support and supervise required microbiological testing of ingredients and finished beverages, as well as providing guidance and troubleshooting support to Pacific group in microbiological testing and manufacturing or processing issues. Meanwhile, this position will provide required micro certification training; in addition, microbiologist shall implement new micro methodologies and performance analysis when needed.
? Key Result Area: ? Ensuring the microbiology laboratory is suitably equipped, resourced and maintained to perform all necessary testing required by Company specifications and requirements.
? Guide the lab chemist / technician on daily operation, including but not limited to GLP, preparation work, micro testing; and get prepared to do micro work as well.
? Perform advanced microbiological test using various methods
? Evaluate test results and explain further when necessary, including understanding, identification and troubleshooting
? Lead, participate and consult in the development, the organization and execution of micro trainings for Bottling Operations, and provide expertise, training tools and facilitates decision making
? Participate in the global micro network and Global Quality projects for enhancing global micro capability, and act as a strong team player to ensure successful team operations; meanwhile, collaborate with micro expertise / technician in the campus on various aspects including knowledge & experience sharing
? Potentially lead global projects or regional projects on micro or relevant aspects and contribute value to business units and bottler.
? Provide appropriate consultation for microbiological troubleshooting and guide bottling operations on micro test protocol design and implementation.
? Assess and authorize third party microbiology labs for testing, troubleshooting purpose; Review and interpret testing reports and summarizing conclusions

Demonstrates ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Demonstrates ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Uses evidence based criteria to interpret laboratory-testing data
o Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
o Serves as expert in relevant instrumentation. Maintains accurate knowledge of defined areas, keeps abreast of state-of-the-art techniques. Keeps updated and current in new technologies and instrumentation.
o Develop skills of Lab Technicians and Chemists within the Lab
