职位描述

Job Title:Senior Director Commercialization

Department:Commercialization

Location:Putian, PRC

Report to:GM/VP China Sourcing Office & Global
Sourcing

Job Summary:

This position will report directly to the GM/VP
to manage TOMS Development, Quality Assurance and Commercialization teams to support
the company’s global growth and sourcing strategy. In addition to TOMS'
internal teams, the candidate will work closely with TOMS strategic global
partners to ensure on-time delivery without affecting the products
integrity. The candidate is skilled in
but not limited to advanced value engineering/technical skills, understanding
and adherence to the product/production calendars, knowledgeable in various
materials/lasts/molds/lab testing/fit/wear test/final inspection protocols,
lean/Six Sigma manufacturing or equivalent, and other attributes as described
in this document to effectively execute the products speed to market.

Essential Functions:

Manages
product development centers and factory base to achieve targeted performance,
cost, and quality of all TOMS products

Work
closely with Global Product Team to develop products that meet technical
specifications and calendar requirements



·
Develop
and implement an effective quality assurance program to achieve TOMS
requirements; ensure TOMS vendors achieve targeted quality performance



·
Partners
with key stakeholders to resolve development, technical, and quality assurance,
and delivery inquiries to drive overall improvements to TOMS’ products



·
Monitors
the performance of the development partners to ensure that all sample delivery
dates are correct and achieved



Working
with global Product and Supply Chain Teams, develop and optimize the product
development, commercialization and quality assurance processes



·
Develop
protocols to ensure development and quality assurance performance targets are
met across all product types



·
Ensures
and manages target cost for prototypes to sales samples are met through
strategic value engineering



·
Continuously
seek innovative technology to improve/develop new products



·
Ensures
smooth transition of data/product from development to pre-production teams



·
Proactively
develops, manages, execute, and communicate implementation plans to all related
stakeholder groups to manage product risks to TOMS at the development and
manufacturing stage



·
Provides
progressive development and quality assurance methodologies to increase
efficiency, reduce cost/waste, retain staff and continuously improve quality
and results



·
Travels
both domestically and internationally as needed to review and resolve product
development inquiries



Leads
China Development and Quality Assurance teams to achieve best in class results
and provide global product development and quality assurance support



·
Oversees
all functions of China product development and quality assurance teams,
including, but not limited to technical, development/QA budget, recruiting, and
other operations essential to the success of the development teams

·
Coach,
mentor and train China Product and QA talent, both on an individual and team
basis



·
Develops,
maintains, updates, and deploys TOMS Development and Quality Assurance SOPs that
are integrated with internal and external stakeholders, including other
departments, suppliers, and customers



·
Builds
and maintains a positive, collaborative relationship between other TOMS’
departments, external partners, and customers as needed



·
Supports
global sourcing strategy by implementing management initiatives and leading the
development and quality assurance teams to establish best governance practices,
enhance product quality, improve productivity and yields, develop core
processes and controls, improve costs, improve delivery and reliability, and
build overall operational capabilities

Essential Skills:

Advanced
experience preferably in development, commercialization and manufacture of
footwear, apparel, or accessories with leading multinational companies



·
Leadership
and ability to achieve aggressive company goals and highest standards



·
Solid
track record of building world class teams multi-nationals development and
quality assurance teams with best-in-class practices for speed to market
production products



·
Undisputed
integrity, personal, and business ethics; ability to build trust and respect
with different stakeholder groups



·
Well
organized and structured to meet all timelines as agreed



·
Ability
to work in a lean, fast-paced/changing environment, highly collaborative,
multi-national teams, and must be comfortable with and embrace consensus
decision-making



·
Proven
ability to build enduring professional relationships with local suppliers and
partners



·
Relevant
experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar discipline would be an
advantage



·
Strong
oral and written communication skills with other internal team members and
external partners



·
Passion
for and personal commitment to the ideals and objectives of TOMS Shoes



·
Strong
MS Word, PowerPoint, Access, and PLM/SAP experience



·
Fluent in English and Mandarin

Qualifications:

·
Minimum
of 15 years of footwear-specific sourcing, development, and quality assurance
experience



·
Minimum
of 7 years of management experience in China with multi-national staff



·
Minimum
of 3 years of experience in products outside of footwear is a plus



·
B.A./B.S.
degree in Engineering/Quantitative majors preferred



·
Master’s degree preferred

Special Requirements:

·
Expect
approximately 20%-25% travel
