Role description and responsibilities:

· Responsible for correctly measuring, fitting, checking and processing Samples of men’s sleepwear and outerwear products

· Adhering to all product specifications and performance standards during product assessment to ensure product quality is accordance with company standards

· Completing appraisal reports with clear Technical comments

· Adhering to all SOP’s for the 4 different Retail Groups

· Communicating problems to the Suppliers (Vendors), Technical Manager and the Product Technology teams.

· Liaising with the Merchandise team and Suppliers (Vendors) when necessary

· Responsible for office housekeeping by controlling sample storage and filing of documents

In addition to this:

· The following levels of experience are essential:

Excellent written and oral communication in English (Qualification to be no less than CET-6 or IELTS 6)

At least 3 years work experience obtained from relevant retail, supplier and manufacturing industries

Product technology experience and exposure to international supplier bases

· The following levels of knowledge are pre-requisites:

A master degree or relevant Technical degree /qualification in Clothing Production or a related field

A sound knowledge and understanding of the clothing industry, including:

fabrics

patternmaking and fitting of garments

grading

garment construction and production

costing

Strong technical competencies with regards to production processes, as well as an awareness of up to date manufacturing processes

A basic working knowledge of the latest Microsoft packages (Word & Excel) would be beneficial
