KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
-Provide quality legal support to the daily operations for China Industry Affairs (including all manufacturing sites), Quality Department and Supply Chain Department
-Proactively contribute from legal perspective to IA, Quality and Supply Chain projects, such as product launch, product transfer, capacity increase of manufacturing sites, bidding on distribution centers and other logistric services
-Proactively support IA China management team (IA China Head and all site directors) for IA strategies.
-Negotiate, handle and approve contracts and other legal documentation for IA, Quality and Supply Chain
-Develop bilingual templates of contracts or other legal documents
-Monitor a thorough understanding of the legal development, perform legal research, communicate with various government authorities to understand the most recent regulatory developments, and advise various functions on the legal interpretation, implications and opportunities for the company’s operations
-Engage senior level leaders (China IA head, site directors, site function heads, Quality head and Supply Chain head) to promote risk prevention mindset for their daily operations
-Establish, review and improve legal-related policies and/or procedures periodically regarding the opeartions of IA, Quality and Supply Chain to ensure the procedures and/or policies in line with the development of operations, the guideline of global policies and applicable laws and regulations
-Lead coordination effectively with the Global Legal Department to identify the needs and obtain effective support to meet the local operation requirement
-Optimize the operations of Legal Deparment, standardize Legal Department’s internal rules and process, with regard to legal support to IA, Quality and Supply Chain
-Handle local legal disputes through negotiation, mediation or litigation
-Monitor and supervise external counsels, if needed
-Develop training plan and provide tailered and effective legal training to staff

-Other tasks as designated by line manager/department head.

JOB-HOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Education:Bachelor degree in PRC law or above
Experience & knowledge:
At least 8 years experience in reputable law firm or multi-national company
familiar with operations of MNC, foreign direct investment, contract and general corporate legal work
experience in pharmaceutical industry, industry affairs or supply chain is a plus
Core competencies:
-PRC Bar Qualification
-Good understanding of PRC law, sound business acumen and commercial awareness and practical-oriented, ability to identify and resolve legal issues quickly and effectively, ability to provide solution-oriented legal advices
-Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (written & verbal)
-Computer literacy, familiar with all Microsoft applications
-Self-motivated, hard-working, detail-minded, clear thinker, quick learner, team player and ability to work independently under pressure with minimum supervision.
