JOB SUMMARY (Brief narrative that highlights the primary duties of the job)
Serve as a liaison between Liebert and Liebert's suppliers, translating the needs of Liebert to the supplier. Perform tasks that relate to the strategic management of supplier performance to include on-time delivery, quality and performance to contract requirements. Collaborate with Commodity Managers, Materials, Production and Engineering on supplier related projects and performance issues. Provide support to internal customers (manufacturing, materials, engineering, marketing, finance, service, and others).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (List the major or most important job duties in order of most important to least important.)
? Develop and implement supplier performance strategies to manage suppliers to meet objectives of
quality, on-time delivery, inventory initiatives, cost reduction, lead-time reduction, and service.
? Work with new suppliers to ensure they meet performance objectives.
? Manage source changes to ensure continuous flow of quality material and realization of cost reductions.
? Represent Procurement in new product development teams to support successful new product launches, promoting Procurement initiatives, preferred suppliers and alternate sourcing.
? Work with Commodity Managers in sourcing initiatives, and implementation of contract terms.
? Ensure that LES reflects accurate part price and standard costs. Ensure that invoices reflect accurate pricing and invoice errors are addressed and corrected in a timely manner.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
? Work with Commodity Managers to consolidate the supplier base and prevent proliferation of new suppliers.
? Review Purchase Price Variance regularly and report reasons for variances.
? Communicate supplier lead-times, order minimums and multiples, and other related supplier issues with Materials and Production as needed.
? Assist Materials Planning department with shortage resolution and change orders upon request.
? Issue and follow-up on Corrective Action Requests to suppliers who perform poorly.

POSITION ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: (Special conditions required of the job such as travel, driver's license, physical working conditions.)
Occasional travel could be required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required.)
? Knowledge of fundamentals of purchasing and material planning functions.
? Ability to coordinate efforts from multiple groups in the company to achieve objectives.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
? Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
? Ability to handle multiple tasks, with awareness of deadlines.
? Ability to identify process deficiencies, develop and implement improvements.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: (The minimum education, certification, special training and years of experience required to do a satisfactory job.)
? 3 - 5 years experience in procurement, preferably in a strategic setting in a large
manufacturing organization preferred.
? Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Production/Operations Management, Business or Engineering
? ISM, APICS or Supply Chain certification preferred
