职位描述：
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Availability of our products in local languages is a key success factor for selling SAP software globally. With 200 employees in more than 20 locations, Globalization Services SAP Language Services (GS SLS) provides translation and translation-related services for all SAP Solutions and non-coded assets into 39 languages.


We are looking for a project manager for handling translation requests of SAP SME Solutions related User Interface and documentation in SME Translation Service at SLS.

   


EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS


· Plan translation: scheduling, scope definition, volume forecast

· Develop and maintain project pipeline

· Drive translation projects (use standard tools, schedule phases, monitor the project progress in order to meet all deliverables, anticipate obstacles, update regularly, keep an excellent project overview, ensure transparency in all aspects of the project, document critical events, keep all stakeholders informed about the project status, act as a central point of information)

· Provide on-time support

· Deliver complete project in time

· Evaluate project

· Analyze information and provide effective solutions to problems, provide feedback and lessons learned to involved parties

· Share project learning with team

   


Actively participate in process improvement activitie

 

WORK EXPERIENCE


· At least 2 years in the localization/translation industry (language service provider or buyer), ideally as a translation project manager

· Experience with IT customers/software translation

   


Experience with translation management systems

 

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES


· Degree in translation, Computational Linguistics, Computer Science or related field

· Excellent knowledge of translation-related standard market technologies, in particular Trados translation memories

· Thorough understanding of localization and translation processes

· Ideally, knowledge and experience in computational linguistics

· Good knowledge of XML and related technologies

· Ideally, familiarity with SAP technologies and SAP translation tools

· Excellent negotiation, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills

· Flexible team player with excellent interpersonal skills

· Ability to efficiently master complex processes and concepts to cope with challenging requirements

· Very organized with high attention to detail

· Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks
