POSITION SUMMARY
Asia market has been more and more focusing on environmental protection, energy saving, and food health. The related industrial gas market is expected to grow at a faster pace in the longer run. To capture the sustainable growth and opportunity it is critical for AP to establish a leading position with constant reelection of social and market dynamics.
This position is to support and sustain growth of China IG business in above applications related industries in Asia by developing strategy and marketing initiatives.
Success in this role will require working closely within marketing and with other functions including technology (CT and AT), commercial at both regional and sub-regional level.
Nature and Scope
Scope is IG Asia mainly focusing on PG, MB, LB and gen gas. Key segments including food, glass, non-ferrous metal, and others as related
The role will take active review of external social and market trend, competitive landscape, identify and analyze high value market and customer segments, amenable size, and critical success factors to win in key electronics market. And to ensure timely capture new business opportunities for growth profitably.
This role works closely with technology team including AT and CT to identify, launch and commercialize new offering /application/ technology in the market to drive differentiation and enhance profitability.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
?Monitor industry market growth in Asia
?Industry outlook analysis
?Identify market trend (opportunity and risks)
?Identify customer unmet and emerging needs.
?Competitive landscape analysis
?Industry intelligence / relationship management
?Track the key business indicator of AP performance in industry – market share, growth, profitability
?Strategic planning
?Develop plans to drive profitable growth
?Business opportunity and risk analysis
?Identify critical success factors of the related industrial segments
?Offering / application development and commercialization
?Work with the Technology team on new application / offering development.
?Lead new offering launch / promotion plan
?Important role in commercialization and tracking the business impact for constantly feedback to organization
?Branding, promotion and marketing communication
?Identify leads generation opportunity and drive industry campaign through various channels
?Facilitate /deliver sales training
?Other Assignment as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1.Job Incumbent is expected to have a Bachelor’s Degree in a business/marketing/scientific field. There is an added advantage if incumbent has postgraduate qualifications
2.Demonstrated strategic thinking and analytical skills
3.Proven skills of market/competitor research methods incl. data mining, forecasting and skills in economics
4.Proven capability of database management and intelligence analysis with good business acumen
5.Good communication skill and strong interpersonal skills
6.5 years or equivalent experiences in industrial marketing or consulting firm, knowledge/experience with industrial gases market preferred
7.Willing to take initiatives and work proactively across functions
8.Ability to multi-task and work under pressure and in a changing environment
9.Excellent skills in computer software (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
